Unfortunately, we have made the decision to cancel the upcoming Gator Pit 3-Man event on September 5-6. We knew Labor Day weekend and the proximity to another major event could affect turnout, but registration has been slower than we expected. At this point, we don’t have enough teams to run the kind of event everyone signed up for.

We still think the Gator Pit has a real place in the Florida tournament community because it fills an important gap. X-ball can be intimidating, and these events give newer X-ball teams and less experienced players on larger organizations a lower-pressure way to get actual tournament experience through a 3-man format. By keeping the event from conflicting with a 5-man weekend and not recording APPA points, players can get meaningful reps without disrupting their organization’s schedule or risking a bump into a higher division.

We’re going to take another shot at it December 5–6 and will release more details once everything is finalized.
