Love seeing our boats making people happy.

This is cool.

Today, we celebrated Christopher Columbus,..... however, maybe it is Isabella of Spain that we should be celebrating.

Queen Isabella of Spain in 1492 has been a subject of my research and admiration of recent days. She defied all her advisors when she decided to finance Christopher Columbus. Her husband Ferdinand was off fighting a war and she alone with the recommendation of a local monk decided to do it against all of the rest of her advisors. Turned out her advisors did not have a clue.

This decision is one of the defining moments in world history, changing much of the world. Not to mention it made billions for Spain.

I live in the North Tampa Bay area. A lot of people have asked how we did in the hurricane.

While trees fell all around us, we were untouched. While tornadoes hit locally, we were untouched. While flooding destroyed thousands of homes, we were untouched. Yet the hurricane hit and traveled very close to us. God smiled on the Brown family and on CupRoyale.

Spent time yesterday helping others clean up and cut up trees. You know they actually pay people to use a chainsaw. I love it, yet, I have never been paid to do it.

Yesterday, I learned, that an old friend Paul Hale stepped into forever. I knew he was sick but much to my shame I did not make time to go see him. Whenever I thought about it, I put it off because of other priorities and urgencies. Truth is none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. If it is important to do, I should have put it on my calendar and did it.

Eighty, 80, years ago today, D-Day a day where tens of thousands of heroes stormed the beaches controlled by N**I Germany. Knowing that chances were very real that many of them would not make it. At the end of the day thousands of heroes lay dead on the shores, having given their life to free Europe of that terrible dictator. That was just one step to removing the wicked total government led by Adolf Hi**er.

That wicked evil person rose to power by controlling the press, controlling the courts, and controlling the justice departments. They went after anyone who was friends of any who opposed them. I hope we never make that mistake again.
