The light system is going to be part of the Grand prize for the Overall winner 🏆 at the end of the series. Must compete in 3 out of the 4 shows. 🤠🌵

If you thought about not coming to Dust vs. Lightning on Sunday, you might want to rethink it! Overall, end-of-series prizes just keep getting better and better. Photonic Health has donated a portable red and near-infrared light therapy pad valued at $500.00! Toni has also donated some really cool things: a tack set, a tricked-out pony pad, rope halters, and much, much more! Come get out of your comfort zone in a fun environment.

🚨📢 IMPORTANT REMINDERS

For upcoming Dust 💨VS Lightning ⚡️

PLEASE ‼️ 🙏- Read the rules over. They are posted on the main page and in each event discussion tab along with the pattern.

🤠 This show was created to help riders branch into different disciplines, improve riding and horsemanship. This show is to be FUN, to LEARN, to PRACTICE, and to enjoy at various riding levels.

🌵 Friendly Reminders 🌵
✨️ Show start time is 4:00 PM. Sign ups and exhibitions start at 2:30 PM.
✨️ Dress Code required, hat or helmet, long sleeve collared shirt, jeans and boots.
✨️ You must use SAME horse for all 4 events per show.
✨️ You will receive a NUMBER for the entire series! You will not get a replacement, you must keep track of your Number.
✨️Choosing your division(s)
Open or Novice for Ranch and Speed. If youve showed in the discipline with that horse, you should be in Open. If you've never shown in that discipline or the horse has not shown in said discipline then Novice.
✨️ You may be moved from Novice to Open if in speed barrels is faster than 23.000 seconds and similar goes for Ranch riding, if excelling you may get moved to Open.
✨️ The Ranch patterns/trail will progress in difficulty. There will be at least a 2 week notice and pattern/trail posted
✨️ We are getting folks to judge who are donating their time - meaning some carded and some not or some in training. They will be experienced horseman and understand how to evaluate and navigate Ranch riding. Again, this is a FUN Show.
✨️ Also Ranch riding is mainly based off the horse and maneuvers
✨️ We will be using basic AQHA rules for Novice Ranch and Level 1 Rules for Open Ranch.

💨Dust VS ⚡️Lightning Riders

One of our lovely members Mary Baujan-McLeod has offered to have a sit down and chat regarding the upcoming shows.

This is not required, but just giving an opportunity to folks to chat about how Ranch classes work for the non-ranch riders and how Speed goes for the non-speed riders. There will be versed Ranch riders attending and Barrel Bettys. Its just Free advice, information and tips. You do not have to be a member to attend.

The location will be at a members home 🏡 in Hudson - therefore - NO HORSES are to come. This is just a people chat. Bring your own beverage, & NO alcohol please.

Time 7PM - Sunday August 30th 2026.

This is a FUN Show! It is in fact to have Fun, learn something new, become better horsemen and break out of your comfort zones.

This is the perfect opportunity if you've ever wanted to "try" a different discipline. Wanted to try a Ranch class but nervous about judging, ever wanted to Open your horse up and see how the move with some Speed, or just wanting to branch out, practice or ride!

Also, friendly reminder of choosing your division...
☆ OPEN is for folks that have rode or showed in that type of event.
☆ NOVICE is for folks that have not ridden in that category or for horses that have never showed.
● If you choose Novice for barrels - you will be moved to the Open if you run faster than 23.000 seconds.
