Athletes and coaches now have full access to our HitTrax system at Hudson Fieldhouse.
🔍 1. Tracks Performance With Real-Time Data
HitTrax uses infrared sensors and cameras to measure key metrics whenever an athlete hits, pitches, or catches:
Hitting metrics include:
• Exit velocity — how fast the ball comes off the bat
• Launch angle — the vertical angle of the ball off the bat
• Distance and spray charts — where the ball would likely land
• Point of impact — where contact occurs on the bat
These stats show exactly how a swing performed, which helps athletes understand what adjustments they need to make.
For pitchers and catchers HitTrax can also track things like pitch speed and location, late movement, arm strength, pop time, and throw accuracy — giving a full-game picture of performance.
📈 2. Instant Feedback & Analytics
Instead of guessing or waiting until a coach reviews video later, athletes see immediate feedback after each swing or pitch. That helps them connect action → outcome instantly and make real-time improvements in their mechanics.
🎥 3. Video Integration
HitTrax pairs these data metrics with high-speed video playback, from multiple angles. This synchronized video + data lets players and coaches visually analyze why a swing produced a certain result.
⚾ 4. Simulation & Game-Like Experiences
Rather than just practice reps, HitTrax lets athletes play simulated at-bats or games in virtual MLB stadiums, complete with statistics and leaderboards. This “gaming” element adds competitive pressure and makes training more engaging — great for motivation and focus.
