2026 Racesaver Nationals Recap: ๐๐ผ
Thursday Portion:
Hot Laps/Race Of Champions heat races.
37 cars
Pill Draw: 57
Heat one: 8th -> 4th
Heat two: 5th -> 3rd
You wanted to end up with one of the lowest numbers to be locked into the A-main event. We finished with 7 points which locked us into the event starting 4th! This was just the beginning of our incredible weekend.
Friday Portion:
First Prelim Night.
95 cars
Pill Draw: 33
Heat Race: 2nd -> 1st to secure the heat race win and lock into our second A-main event!
A-main: 8th -> 12th leaving us just three spots shy of locking into the "Big Dance" on our first prelim night.
Saturday Portion:
Second Prelim Night/Race Of Champions Feature.
86 cars
Pill Draw: 169 (this was our high draw night since we pulled below 100 the previous night.)
Heat Race: 7th -> 3rd locking us into the B-main
B-main: 2nd ->7th missing the transfer by one position. Jake was super frustrated with his performance and the feel of the car. Back to the drawing board to get the car feeling better for the ROC feature event.
Race Of Champions A-main: 4th -> 6th. Fell back a few positions but the car was feeling much better compared to the B-main so that was a win in our book.
Sunday Portion:
The Big Dance/Last Chance Qualifiers.
93 Cars
No Pill Draw, you line-up off points earned from your first two prelim nights. Our points lined us up starting 6th in the B-main. 9 transferred into the "Big Dance".
B-main: 6th -> 4th LOCKING US INTO THE MAIN EVENT! Jake was on a mission and knew what he needed to do to lock in and it paid off! This was our first time making the big show in 7 years of trying. This was a MAJOR accomplishment for my guy and our crew.
A-main: 35 laps, 27 cars, 3 wide start. 22nd -> 22nd. We didn't advance, but, Jake laid down 35 good laps and we added more notes to our setup book.
To say we made 3 of the 4 A-main events this weekend is absolutely insane to me. We've never been better than a C-main car and we made THREE A-mains including the big show! I can't even begin to express how proud I am of Jake and his determination. We've rode the highest of highs and the lowest of lows and this man has never lost his drive and desire to be the best racer he can be. We will be riding this high for awhile!
I just want to send a huge thank you out on behalf of our team to everyone that continues to support us, and cheer us on week in and week out! It doesn't go unnoticed and we're forever thankful.
With all that being said, as of now, we're pretty sure that will conclude our 2026 season. Jake is hoping to get a head start on prepping for the 2027 season since our sweet baby will be making their appearance at the beginning of February!
