Congratulations to two former players, Nick Dumesnil and Trevor Heischman on an amazing achievement. What are the odds that two former players were drafted back to back in the 8th and 9th rounds by the same team?? Crazy!!
Nick’s family found me online at the end of his freshman year of high school not certain if the varsity team would even be a possibility for him in high school. Huntington Beach high school is competitive and it was not certain how it would end up. We worked on hitting, throwing and running every week with myself and the team. One year later and he was starting on the varsity team at and moved his 60 yard dash time from 7.2 all the way to 6.53. Huge shoutout to Josh Reidt at who worked with Nick at his outstanding baseball specific gym during the same time period for over 2 years.
Trevor started at 13 years old and was not sure what high school would even be a fit for him. A bunch of sessions in my backyard at the time especially with throwing and also on the team hopefully helped him to be prepared for a great high school career at and now on to straight out of high school.
