Week 2 Complete ✅

Another great week of training is in the books as we wrapped up Week 2 of our summer curriculum.

From our youngest players to our oldest, the development we’ve seen over the past two weeks has been outstanding. Better first touches, increased confidence on the ball, improved use of the sole, and players becoming more comfortable solving problems under pressure. Most importantly, we’re seeing players embrace the process and challenge themselves every session.

A huge thank you to our coaching staff for their energy, preparation, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment where players can grow.

This week we’ll be celebrating World Cup Week at MSA! Players are encouraged to wear the jersey or kit of the country they support to training.

Whether it’s 🇺🇸 USA, 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇧🇷 Brazil, 🇫🇷 France, 🇪🇸 Spain, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England, or any other nation, we want our players to proudly represent the teams and cultures that make the beautiful game so special.

This is a fun opportunity for players to:
• Show their soccer passion
• Learn about different soccer cultures
• Celebrate the global game we all love
• Bring extra energy and excitement to training

No special purchase is necessary—any jersey, training top, or soccer shirt representing their favorite country is welcome.

We can’t wait to see the variety of kits on the court and celebrate the world’s game together!

⛰️ Introducing MSA Ascend 🧗

Development doesn’t stop when training ends.

Each week, MSFA players will receive MSA Ascend Challenges through their team’s Mojo. These at-home activities are designed to help players build better habits, improve their technical ability, and take ownership of their own development.

The players who improve the most aren’t always the ones who train the most with coaches. They’re the ones who continue working when nobody is watching.

Last night, MSA West kicked off our very first sessions of the summer, and what a start it was, Huntington!!

From some playing futsal for the first time, to our older athletes sharpening their game. The energy, excitement, and passion for learning were on full display. Players were challenged, encouraged, and pushed to improve in an environment built around development and a love for the game!

We excited to watch these players grow over the next eight weeks and grateful to all of the families who have chosen to be part of the journey.

This is only the beginning!

Last night our Charleston Academy was excited to officially kick off the first-ever MSA Rainhas, our all-female training group at Mountain State Academy!

This group was created to provide a dedicated environment where our female athletes can develop their technical skills, build confidence, compete, and grow alongside other passionate players who love the game.

We are proud to have Coaches Bonnie Rogers and Isabelle Melton leading the Rainhas this summer! Their experience, energy, and passion for the game will help create an amazing environment for every athlete involved as well as being incredible roll models for our girls!

The future of the women’s game is bright, and we’re excited to be a small part of helping these players reach their potential.
