It’s a big day for our very own Hudson Ingalsbe, the current AHSAA 1A-4A 285lb State Champion. Hudson has officially committed to the University of North Carolina Football! We’ve been so proud to watch Hudson’s journey, and wish him the very best in his future with the Tar Heels! No matter what shade, we still bleed blue!! 🩵🩵🩵 Congratulations Hudson!!

We have a state champion and a state runner-up!

Congratulations to junior Hudson Ingalsbe for winning the 1A-4A heavyweight state title and for a perfect 41-0 season!

Congratulations to senior JJ Heard for winning the state runner-up title for the 157 lbs weight class!

Sophomore Lyric Brown (132 lbs) earned a sixth place finish today.

We are proud of all our wrestlers and their hard work and perseverance. Thanks to the coaches, parents, and volunteers who have supported the success of our athletes throughout the year.

Both J.J. (157 lbs) and Hudson (285 lbs) won their semi-final matches and will compete for individual state titles tomorrow!

Lyric (132 lbs) will wrestle for 5th place tomorrow as well!

State wrestling – E.A. Sports Today Alexandria’s boys lead Class 1A-4A through first day in Huntsville, placing eight in championship semifinals. Weaver third.

We are proud of ALL our Wildcat wrestlers who competed at this week's AHSAA Super Section North Tournament at the Birmingham Crossplex. It's been a great couple of days!

The road to Huntsville continues for four of our high school boys:

🥇1st place - Lyric Brown (132 lbs)
🥇 1st place - Hudson Ingalsbe (285 lbs)
🥈 2nd place - Wesley Beebe (165 lbs)
🏅 4th place - James (J.J.) Heard (157 lbs)

The AHSAA State Championships will be held at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville from February 12-14.

Wish our athletes well as they compete at the North Super Section Tournament later this week! Wrestling will take place Thursday and Friday for the 1A-4A tournament.
