In tremendous, unrelenting fashion, DeVaughn Miller, Columbia’s 106 powerhouse wrestler easily defeated all comers to win the state championship at this year’s AHSAA State Championships. Columbia is extremely proud of our champion. This year D won every tournament he wrestled in, went 44 - 0 (1st perfect season in Columbia’s history) and only the second state champion in Columbia’s history. D not only excels in wrestling but in his academics as well with a 4.0+ GPA and a beta club member.

Columbia’s DeVaughn Miller kicked off day one of the AHSAA State Wrestling Tournament by dominating Mcadory High Schol and Homewood High School.
Miller is currently undefeated at 42 - 0 and is favored to win the State Championship.
Head Coach Walter Walker is extremely proud of this young man, not only a championship wrestler, but Miller is also an academic All-Star whose grade point average exceeds 4.0.

DeVaughn Miller, Columbia's top wrestler once again dominated the 106-weight class at the 2026 AHSAA Super Sectionals in Birmingham, AL. Miller went through all challengers by easily pinning or teching them. The first place match was a one sided 17 -2 Tech Fall against Jasper High School. "D" now moves to the AHSAA State Tournament as the #1 seed and the odds on favorite to capture the state championship for Columbia High School.
