Jeanne and I got up early this morning and went back to work on Mountain Mist, unloading a completely full 36’ U-Haul , taking down signs and stuff in 42 degree weather and completely down pouring rain. As Bill Bowerman said “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just soft people.”

We are now getting within range of the high resolution models for our weekend event. This is the high resolution 3km NAM valid at 6p CT Saturday, which highlights our concerns from posts earlier this morning.
The greatest concern for freezing rain and ice accumulation Saturday and Saturday night will be across the northwest and northeast corner of Alabama. Just rain for the rest of the state.
On Sunday as temperatures drop rapidly rain could change to freezing rain, or maybe even some light snow before it all ends, and a flash breeze/black ice concern exists for the northern half of the state Sunday night and Monday morning.
We also could also very well have a few strong thunderstorms across South Alabama Sunday morning.
