Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10 for one of HTC's signature events, the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K! This year it's an RRCA Southern Region Championship Race. With awards in open 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions!

The course is a certified 15K loop through the neighborhood streets around Monte Sano United Methodist Church.

For anyone interested, HAMR is looking for some help getting started on the new water fountain installation tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM at the Monte Sano Biker's Parking Lot.

Its go time to get the new water fountain going for Monte Sano. Please come out and help us lay the concrete pad for it. We need help loading up the mixer, spreading the concrete, and leveling it.

The Rocket City Marathon Race Weekend current registration prices will expire in 5 days. Register before Midnight on August 2nd to lock in the lowest price available for all distances.

If you've ever finished a run at Monte Sano wishing there was a water fountain nearby, here's your chance to make that happen!

The Huntsville Area Mountain bike Riders (HAMR) is raising funds to install a freeze-resistant water fountain right next to the Scoble Pavilion at Monte Sano State Park. The location already has water lines in place, and it would serve hikers, runners, mountain bikers, road cyclists, and four legged trail companions alike.

HAMR have already secured funds for the fountain itself. The remaining goal is $9,200 to cover installation, and the station would be dedicated to the memory of Andrew Moffatt, a volunteer who led countless trail build and maintenance days at Monte Sano and gave back to the community by repairing and donating bikes to those in need.
This is a project that benefits everyone who uses the park. If you'd like to contribute, the link to donate is in the comments.

What a great day it was for the Cookie Dash! Congratulations to everyone who ran the Cookie Dash 5K and 1 Mile Run yesterday! We hope you had a blast and maybe even treated yourself to a cookie (or two) afterward.
