Meet Shakti:

Pets?: a very large, very silly Labradoodle
Other things you like to do: "Read, hike, hold deep conversations with really interesting people."
Why do you teach Yoga/Pilates?: "I felt so much relief from pain I'd been suffering for years that I just HAD TO share the practices with others, plus it's boatloads of fun!"
Other tidbits: "I am now offering the "Yoga Movement Screen" as part of Private Sessions at The Healing Arts Center. It is a wonderful tool using movements common in a Hatha Yoga practice to uncover restrictions and imbalances in the individual. Truly Personal Practice.

Favorite food: pizza
Pets: Two rescue lab mixes, Dexter and Mollie, and a rescue Manx cat, Abby.
Other interests: photography, genealogy, and history.
What made you decide to be a counselor? "I decided to be a counselor because I had people tell me that I was a good listener and didn't judge them! I enjoy helping people."
Fun fact: I lived in The Netherlands which gave me a unique perspective of the world.
