Calling bases for a 11U Middle School club team tonight when, during warmups, I heard the home team’s shortstop say to the 1st baseman “Watch this $h1+”.

I interrupted the throw down to let him know I heard him and he was not to do that again. He acknowledged by saying “Yes sir.”

In-between innings I told the player to tell his coach what he did. I also told him if I heard profanity again, I would eject him.

Then I told him if he was ejected during an official middle-school game for profanity, it would cost his parents $300.

I believe the message was well-received.

Time will tell… ⚾️
