Our next Secretary for the 2026-2027 season Cole Mitchell. Cole is a senior majoring in Construction Management. Cole spent his summer interning with Cornerstone Construction and putting time on the water.

“Looking forward to one last season representing Sam Houston, competing with my teammates, and making memories that will last a lifetime.”

Our next Treasurer for the 2026-2027 season Luke Fretwell. Luke is a senior majoring in Environmental Science. Luke spent his summer working and putting time on the water.

“I am grateful for the opportunity, the experiences, and one more year with the team”

Our next Vice-President for the 2026-2027 season Rowdy Casner Rowdy is a junior majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Wildlife Management. Rowdy spent his summer working for an erosion company.

“This is it, all or nothing, I don’t care what it takes, I will be at the top!”

Our new president for the 2026-2027 season Hayden Ecton Hayden is a senior majoring in Homeland Security. Hayden spent his summer studying abroad in Poland and interning for Peach State Truck Brokers.

“I look forward to helping our members and traveling the country as a team.”

We had a great time at the banquet last night! The club won the Club Sports excellence award to cap off a great evening!

Ben and Luke are in 24th with 14-14 and Rowdy and Hayden are in 25th with 14-11 going into day 2 of the on Kerr Lake! Right on the cut line for the national championship. Wish them luck going into the final day!

Great turnout at our seminar at EDGE Rods Pro Shop! We had the chance to talk with high school anglers and parents about what it’s like to fish in college,travel, tournaments, and balancing school with competition. Appreciate everyone who came out and showed interest in the Bearkat Bass Team. The future is bright!
