Pre-wedding ceremony healthy-ish snack baskets for the bridal party to enjoy between photo sessions and while waiting for the wedding ceremony to begin. :)

One basket for the bridesmaids, one for the groomsmen.

For my over 40 and beyond mamas, I am NOT recommending these snacks, but if you need to put something together for a special event that's:

1. Kinda healthy
2. NOT messy
3. Doesn't need a cooler
4. Is individually wrapped
5. Appeals to 20-somethings

..Then these seemed to go over well judging from the fact that I brought very few home after the wedding!

I also provided plenty of water bottles, too, as well as peppermint gum. ;)

And yes... I am super excited about my two new kitchen towels and two new organizer baskets! lol!

Side note - I especially needed to have snacks that I knew the bride would eat, so again, while these may ot be the type of snacks *I'd* reach for, I knew she would and it would support her important day well.

This snaggle-toothed little girl is all grown up now and getting married this weekend, so if you are wondering what I'm up to over the next few days, know that it involves a lot of smiles mixed with tears.

Just because something's hard, just because you can't do it perfectly or even well (yet), just because sometimes you fail to even remember or follow through ---

That doesn't mean that you should give up.
You never know when the LAST time is the LAST time before the breakthrough unless there's a NEXT time.

What if you are only one meal, one workout, one walk, one 'offline by nine' before your breakthrough moment where everything shifts?

What's something that you know in your knower is healthy for you, good for you, important for aging WELL that is hard right now, but you know you should keep practicing at?

For me, it's daily balance/agility exercises. I spent last month as a true beginner in this and boy was it rather hard and ugly at times! I didn't do it nearly as often as I said I would, but I DID do it more than the months before when I didn't even bother thinking about it!

This month, I am going to practice it more. I'd love to say I'm going to practice it every day, and that is my "goal", but in reality I know it's going to be more like 4-5x a week. And that's okay. But I'm going to keep working on it, even though it's hard for me. Even though it's not much fun. Even though I've not seen much improvement.

I KNOW working on balance and agility is important - even if I don't see the "fruit" yet. So I press on.

Starting the day with tuna salad and microgeens 🌱🌱🌱

🔶️ 40g protein from my SafeCatch tuna can
🔶️ 9-10g of fiber from diced pepper, fermented pickle, sprouted pumpkin seeds, basil seeds, µgeens
🔶️ Healthy fat coming from those seeds as well as the avocado mayo I used 😋

✨️️I am set up for a fantastic day! ✨️

🏆 Whole foods for the win! 🏆

Easy, colorful, whole food breakfast while away from home.

We stayed in an AirBnB this past weekend and we kept our "in-home" meals very simple. Eggs, ham, peppers, tomato scramble for breakfast. AMPLE protein (around 32g); lower on my typical lowcarb fiber amount, but this still set me up well.

We also had some sausage patties, cottage cheese, blueberries, and watermelon for anyone who wanted something more.

And plenty of coffee, of course! :)

We are now back home after a 4 day trip and boy, am I so happy to be back to my own kitchen. First meal back --- tuna salad with PLENTY of low carb fiber souces and 40g of protein.
