Jim Clark (R) flew the L-33 in the Low Performance Contest and today he earned his CFI-G!

Amir did a lot of towing during the contest, but today he upgraded his glider rating!

Most Contestants are well on their way home. Judith (157) and Kristin (400) hung back to fly yesterday. Both headed west and made it far enough to qualify for Silver Distance! That makes four pilot who earned Silver while in Kansas. Colten Coughlin and Jason Cottingham were the other two.

As of 1:30 PM, Cloudbase was still below 2000agl and lift was too weak for the radian R/C glider to soar. Day cancelled, contest over. Banquet tonight at Soaring Center, brunch tomorrow at Carriage Crossing.
