The Carey Park Women's Golf Assn. promotes golf for all abilities and ages from 18 years old. Our organization is open to all ladies of Reno County.
You do not need to be a member of Carey Park Golf Course to join our leagues. The Carey Park Ladies Golf Association is comprised of 9 Hole and 18 Hole golf leagues. The 9 Holes League meets each Wednesday, April through October. The 18 Hole League meets each Tuesday, April through October. The regular Business Meeting is conducted on the second Wednesday of each month, March through November at

One of the hardest things about getting older as a golfer isn’t your swing. It’s making peace with the golfer you used to be.
The golfer who hit it further. The golfer who could practise for hours. The golfer whose back didn’t ache after every round. The golfer who didn’t need reading glasses to see the scorecard.
And here’s the problem.
No matter how well you play today, that younger golfer is impossible to beat. I’ve seen golfers in their 60s and 70s shoot some of the best golf of their lives and still walk off disappointed because they don’t hit it as far as they once did.
But golf isn’t just a distance competition. Experience matters. Patience matters. Course management matters. Perspective matters.
And perhaps most importantly…
The ability to enjoy a round without constantly judging yourself matters. The happiest golfers I know aren’t the longest hitters. They’re the golfers who stopped comparing themselves to a younger version of themselves.
They accepted where they are.
And strangely, that’s often when they started playing better golf. Golf doesn’t ask you to be 25 again. It only asks you to play the game you’ve brought to the course today. I think more golfers need to hear that.
