Played at Killeen High School… awarded 2nd Team All-District and was named Miss Roo as a sophomore... awarded 2nd Team All-District as a junior… awarded 2ndTeam All-District and was named Miss Roo again as a senior... member of the A/B Honor Roll all four years.

Killeen High School senior Carmen Williams was the type of basketball player that kept opposing coaches up at night.
When looking at film of the Lady Roos, you’d see this 5-foot- 6 guard outfighting and outhustling forwards and posts for a critical rebound.
Look at more film and there’s Williams making steal after steal from skilled point guards.
Look at the film from tipoff to the closing horn and there’s Williams playing tenacious defense all game and ultimately destroying the confidence of some highly touted shooter.
Oh, and there she is again, taking a charge against a 6-footer.

Meet Coach Alia

Alia Simmons, a formidable force on the court, emerged as a standout player during her time at Cisco College. Hailing from the Ellison high school, she showcased tenacity on defense paired with a remarkably smooth jump shot. Under the guidance of Coach Marlo Saunders, Alia not only honed her skills but also earned a well-deserved scholarship to continue her basketball journey at Cisco College. Her prowess as a defender and finesse in shooting made her a memorable presence during her career.

Meet Coach Jamia

Played at John B. Connally High School… received Academic All-District honors as a freshman… awarded 1st Team All-District as a junior… awarded Offensive MVP of the district, broke the record for most points in a game, finished her senior season with over 500 points, went to area in the 800 meter run, and awarded 1st Team All-District for volleyball as a senior.

Her Senior year District 17-5A basketball coaches honored Miller with the district’s offensive player of the year award.

Temple College

Region V announced today that Temple College’s sophomore guard from Round Rock, Jamia Miller, has received Player of the Week honors for the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. Miller scored 35 points, grabbed five rebounds, and six steals for the Lady Leopards who went 2-0 this week.

Jamia Miller made a lasting impact on women’s basketball in just two years. This season alone, Miller scored double-digit points in 18 games. She broke her career scoring record with 26 points against Texas College in a convincing 121-48 victory. Miller shot 58.3 percent from the field and 60 percent from the three-point line. She helped lead the Saints to be first in the NAIA in scoring offense per game, scoring margin, turnover margin, field goal percentage, total scoring offense and total rebounding offense this season. She was named to the All-Conference Second Team this season.
