Washington D.C. for the Freedom 250GP!
It was an awesome experience, so happy we got to be part of this historic event!
1st time seeing DC, and it didnt dissapoint!
1st time seeing indycars too, I kinda prefer screaming v8s but these cars are sick and super fast
The IROC race was a blast to see, Jeff Gordon started from last and won both 20 min races, he still kicks ass baby! Kurt Busch was also fast as hell chasing gordon the whole time
Seeing an American win this INDY race was like a dream, i didnt think we'd beat Palou or Scotty Mac!
I was hoping for Malukas to win but he crashed out πŸ˜”
I got to talk to Josef Newgarden, i tried to get a selfie but I took a blurry video instead....lol no beer was involved, i promise.
The fly overs were wild, those jets are so freaking loud, and seeing the B2 bomber was 😳

We stopped in a couple museums and checked out a bunch of the monuments Saturday after the racing ended.
Seeing the Smithsonian air and space was cool, I love me some airplanes ✈️

We even went out to a local bar near our hotel around midnight for some DC night scene action! Its sad to say we were probably the oldest people in the bar, which was crazy to me...

Thanks to Penske and Trump for the free tickets, what an amazing way to celebrate America, it was a 10/10 expierence.

The bonus on top is seeing all the liberals cry about this race online all this week πŸ˜‚
It was amazing to be a part of it! Hundreds of thousands of fans celebrating america and racing, the way it should be !

The JRC Novice Rental RX-8 gave my dad an awesome first time driving on track, he's watched for years, when i was a kid he would take me to LRP to see races, and since we started racing he always asked us what its like on the track..
So, for Fathers Day / (and a few month late) 60th birthday present, I treated my dad to an all expense paid day in the JRC RX-8 with MassTuning (a great organization to get on track with) at dads favorite, Lime Rock Park !!
All he had to do was show up, A true arrive and drive.

He started the first 2 sessions with an instructor but once he was cleared for solo, i let dad have a session alone and then I took over for the instructor to gave dad my pointers and tried to teach him the racing line. He wasn't as fast as i expected being my pops and all, but he was very safe and really good about watching mirrors and letting the novice class heros with 4-500hp BMW and Audis go by on the straights lolol. But the car ran great for him, making all 5 25 min sessions of the day, no issues, and He hasn't been in a manual transmission car in over 10 years!

All in all. It was an awesome day at the trackπŸ‘Œ
Happy to get my dad out on the track and show him what its all about, I think he may understand how much skill it takes to set a good lap time now. πŸ˜‚ good job dad!

Lime Rock Regionals 2026 βœ”οΈ Paddock crawl βœ”οΈ

Tony's first race on his novice license, and Mikes last one to earn his full comp racing license!
4 rx7s attended, 4 rx7s finished the weekend!
Super happy for both of these new guys for having a good fun weekend, even with the unbearable heat on Friday lol

Mike Gabryszewski took 2nd place all weekend in the JRC rental 7, setting real decent lap times, especially for his 2nd ever race at LRP!
Anthony Thompson had a good weekend of learning and seeing what its like to do real w2w racing and improved a ton from start to finish, but definitely has more pace he has to find!
LRP is one of the most hectic races of the year and we all ended on good notes, I did have a miata try to send me into a wall which my gopro didnt get 😑
Tony had small contact with a rental miata also, nothing serious, and Mikey had a nice tank slapper on the downhill, he saved it and kept it outta the fence luckily haha
They say, All is well that ends well! 🏁

We love race starts at NHMS, T1 and T2 are a blast and the rest of the track is so technical it makes it a fun challenge every lap. Splitting the spec e30s down the main straight was wild πŸ‘€

And: yeah btw, f**k you guys! 2 years in a row they wont pay for the contingency program. Big πŸ–• to them! Scum bags !

Luckily the NER RX-7 guys are so awesome I'm still happy to race rx7s, especially as cheaply as they can be raced.

Finally getting around to making the post
1st race weekend of 2026 βœ”οΈ
NHMS is always a fun time, its a challenging track for sure.

We had a decent sized field of IT7's too
7 rx7s to be exact lol
4 of 7 cars were repping for Team JRC πŸ™Œ We love it ❀️

We will start the recap off with the rental car, 03 and our rental driver, did fantastic for his first time at NHMS, he picked up 3 seconds a lap by the end of the weekend while having fun learning lines and brake zones from other Mike in the 29 car!
the 3 car got some work for this year, it finally has hawk brakes, a straight rear end, a working brake bias valve and a seat position that fits a tall mike lol. πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ

Sals car 68 was doing pretty good, the fresh motor rebuild was acting happy and set a good lap time, but he had a fueling issue on Right hand turns where it would cut out, he is leaning towards his fuel system not working properly, as adjusting float heights didn't help at all.

Scotts 16 car, was good, he had some sort of a fuel pressure issue halfway through the weekend also which we tried to fix with a new fuel regulator diaphragm and when that didn't work he tried a new fuel pump which Sal happened to have a spare of!

That leaves ole 38, the black duck, all she got for this year was an oil change and a tire rotation lol, and we set a new pb of 1:20.26 down a tenth from my prior pb of a 1:20.37 Also taking 1st in all 3 races of the weekend 😁

The IT7 guys did put up a good battle especially ol' timmy in the 1-800-danno prepped 171 car, and props to Dick for getting 2nd in the first race of the weekend, its awesome to see Dick kicking some ass!

Lime Rock Regional is next, and then a little break until August's Thompson Night Race event.

The season is starting, that means our rental posts are too! What is the hold up? get yourself out on track with JRC's affordable track day rental car program!

Our w2w IT-7 racecar is pretty much spoken for, for this whole season, but our novice car needs more drivers/ exposure!

-Driving a RX-8 on track is a super underrated experience, it rewards good driving with good lap times and punishes bad driving with very noticeably decreased lap times, without ending up in the wall on your first or second time on track!

Tons of people want the newest fastest car, only to crash it on the first day out or not be able to afford the good brakes and tires needed to set good lap times and be consistent.
Starting with a fun, nimble, lower horsepower car (w/drivers aids if needed) can make the experience way more enjoyable and rewarding than a person starting with one of these big heavy and way to fast cars.
Fast cars make you think your a good driver while in reality your 8 seconds off pace from a expierenced driver in the same car.. starting low and working up provides the best learning process one can ask for in racing!

Scott and Ian would love to coach some new drivers this season! So reach out for dates if you think your ready.

Snowmobiling season 2026.
Honestly the conditions this year were probably the best in the last 5 years, cold safe lake, tons of snow, all the trails pretty smooth most of the time!
We even got to go see our buddy Sal ice racing his rx7 for the LG winter carnival
Seeing the weather for the next couple weeks definitely means this season has come to and end..
🍻 to another season !

Well i guess its time for our 2025 season recap post!!
Thanks to everyone who was a part of Team JRCs 2025 season! It was a fun season, with good racing, multiple new rx7 racers going to school, good race vacations, we even joined the rhinebeck car show, added new racecars to the fleet, saw nascar live, built 3 rx7 motors, 2 of which not for me lol, the spitty made its return to autocross, my cousin got his first car and tried drag racing(boo), scott got his first rx7 win, and he finally got his nissan back on track, then to watkins glen weekend exploring around the town and taking a cool boat tour, and finally, JRC rentals more than doubled its rentals from the first year!! 2025 was awesome and we really did a bunch of different things !
Scroll through the photos to see our year in order, only 20 photos allowed so some stuff may be left out but I tried to do the best at recapping the best stuff.
Don't forget the 300$ rally car we got just because, why not lolol
Will 2026 be better than 2025? Who knows, its getting harder and harder to beat each year but It keeps happening !!

Thanks to all who support JRC! We will,
See you next year !

12/12/2025

Guess we gotta follow the trends lol but with a slight twist 🀣!
Getting that seat time in during winter can be crucial to your racing performance lolol
