USA Fly Fishing Women’s Team

The last few days have been a whirlwind, as we finished up the FIPS-Mouche World Ladies Fly Fishing Championships 🐟 in Norway and moved on to our respective “next adventures.” As always, there are so many thoughts and emotions to convey:

✨ It was a tough competition and everyone gave it their all. We placed 5th as a team overall, and of course we are deeply sad not to have made the podium. We’re honored to have been able to represent our country 🇺🇸, and we look forward to another shot in South Africa next year.

✨ We are also deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to fish these extraordinary rivers and to fish alongside so many talented anglers (and friends) from around the world. 🌍 It was moving to see everyone’s passion and commitment.

✨ We want to send our sincere 🎉CONGRATULATIONS 🎉to the Protea Ladies from South Africa 🇿🇦for winning gold, and to France 🇫🇷 and Finland 🇫🇮for winning silver and bronze, respectively. You all fished so well and represent the best of this sport. You embody what it is to be champions. 🏆💛

✨We want to express our profound gratitude to Team Norway 🇳🇴, the Norwegian Federation of Competition Fly Fishers (NKFF) and their President Ingvild Aurdal, as well as organizers Erlend Nilssen and Cato Nilssen for hosting us with such kindness and generosity. 🙏 🙏 ❤️

As the 3rd day of competition end’s tonight Norway’s Symposium as all Teams gather for dinner and night of entertainment.

Day 4 🇺🇸🎣

The team is heading into Day 4 of the World Fly Fishing Championships with great energy and confidence. We’re currently sitting in 5th place, and we’re excited for what today has in store.

The weather is looking better 😊, the spirits are high, and this team is ready to leave it all on the water.
