Skate Idaho

Skate Idaho Southeast Idaho Skatepark Association was formed to create opportunities for all ages in SE Idaho. It promotes exercise, socialization, and personal growth.

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to building a new public skatepark for our community. This skatepark will provide a safe and controlled environment for people of all ages to skateboard, bike, and engage in recreational activities. Additionally, skateparks have proven to be beneficial to the local economy by attracting visitors and generating tourism dollars. Join us in creating a vibrant space that enhances our community's well-being and fosters economic growth.

PRESS RELEASE: Optimist Skatepark to Close Temporarily for Maintenance

The City of Pocatello Parks & Recreation Department will temporarily close Optimist Skatepark, located at 972 N. 7th Avenue, beginning Wednesday, September 23, for scheduled maintenance.

Artisan Skateparks, the original contractor for the skate park, will return to complete final work under the warranty portion of its contract with the City. The work will address minor chips and cracks, along with repairs related to normal outdoor weather exposure and wear and tear.

The maintenance is expected to take five to seven days. The skate park will remain closed during this time and will reopen once all work is finished and the area is safe for public use.

The Parks & Recreation Department asks residents to avoid the skate park during the closure to help ensure the work can be completed safely and efficiently.

For more information, please contact the City of Pocatello Parks & Recreation Department at 208-234-6232.

๐Ÿ›น Taking Care of Our Skatepark! ๐Ÿ›น

A big thank you to everyone who helped get the Ross Park Skatepark resealed and looking great again!

Skate Idaho was proud to help coordinate the project with Gilgens Asphalt and the Pocatello Parks & Recreation Department. Gilgens Asphalt did an awesome job resealing the park, and the Parks Department stepped up to cover the cost.

Projects like this are a great example of what can happen when our community works together to take care of the places we all enjoy. Keeping the skatepark maintained means a better, safer, and longer-lasting space for our local skaters.

Thank you to Gilgens Asphalt and Pocatello Parks & Recreation for investing in our skatepark and our skate community! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ›น

This shirt turned out so sick! Thanks to Jeremy Shay for the photo. (I had to share this since I wasn't there)

The Annual Fort Hall Skate Jam was a few weeks back and I was connected to them through my friends at Skate Idaho

I wanted to honor the past, represent the traditions and bring a modern fresh take on the design.

*I just created the design and print files. Unsure on where they were printed. Maybe someone could let me know and share their page here.
