A huge congratulations to our 5 newest Night & Limited Visibility Divers with Idaho Dive Pirates! 🎉

The first photo features Assistant Instructor Orren Squires as the students setup gear as they waited for the sun to set, followed by some shots from the dive and the adventures that happened after the sun went down. 🔦🌑

Last night was the 2nd night after a new moon so it was pretty dark!

Luckly Photographer and Instructor Levi was able to capture a few amazing night photos of the dive.

Night diving is a completely different underwater experience. Familiar sites take on a whole new personality, and every beam of your dive light reveals something new. And sometimes… your camera captures 99% darkness and 1% “Trust me, there’s a fish in there!” 😂🐟

These divers put in the work, learned the skills, and are now ready to experience the underwater world after dark.

Last couple trips up to Ririe… thank you to our dive buddies helping with our quest to find the Pirate Treasure Chest that we are sure can be found in Ririe Reservoir…somewhere… better go read the poem and look back at the map located at Idaho Dive Pirates on Monday… Also congratulations Mark on completing your Drysuit Course!!!

Our Deep Class and Stress and Rescue classes all met up at Ririe yesterday. water is 46 at 100 feet, the young man on the dock appreciated his cell phone getting found still working at 28 feet. The big rock was lit by flashlight at 80 feet where the good visibility is at Ririe. Most of the crawlers are deep right now but there are clusters shallow as well

Another group ready for their Open Water!!!

At Idaho Dive Pirates, summer is about so much more than scuba diving.

Some of our favorite moments happen after we climb out of the water. We gather around the table, share stories for our love of the water, celebrate new accomplishments, and present divers with the certifications they've worked so hard to earn.

A huge thank you to Camila for preparing an incredible meal! Tomorrow she will celebrate her 29th birthday! The food was absolutely amazing and brought everyone together to relax,and enjoy each other's company while planning the next dive.
