Trusting the Process: Progress on the Ice with Our Yetis Cubs! 🧊🏒💙
Our Yetis Cubs have wrapped up their first two practices, and what a fun, high-energy journey it has been so far! 🏔️✨
We know that stepping onto the ice for the very first time is a massive step for our littlest skaters. At this age, everything is brand-new, and it is completely natural for some of our tiny players to feel a little overwhelmed or shed a few tears at first as they adjust to the cold air and unfamiliar gear. 🥹❄️
The great news is that the littles always start off like this, and they bounce back so fast! Look at how our team has grown just between practice one and two:
Day One Milestones: During our first practice, everyone—coaches and helpers alike—worked hard to get our players up and onto their feet. 💪⛸️
Stepping Up the Fun: By the second practice, our older player volunteers jumped right in to run an awesome game of Sharks and Minnows with the kids who were ready to roll, while our coaches worked closely with the littles who needed a bit of extra guidance. 🦈🏃♂️
Looking Ahead: These first couple of practices can feel like a mountain to climb, but within a few weeks, we won't even remember how hard they were! Before you know it, those initial wobbles will be replaced by kids flying across the ice with total confidence. 🚀✨
We captured so many fantastic moments this week, and we can’t wait to share photo dumps throughout the next few days to show you just how much fun they are having once they find their groove! 📸🎉
Thank you to our amazing parents and community for trusting us and cheering them on. We have the best hockey family around, and we are so excited to see where these little legs take us this season! 👇💙
