Summer > One Fly > Repair Time.

Fall is kicking in, summer is wrapping up, and guide seasons are starting to come to a close. That means it’s time to give the boat that worked all summer a little attention.

Beat the end-of-season rush and run your boat over to us for repairs, maintenance, or a full-on refurb. Fiberglass, aluminum, Hyde or not, we’ll get it cleaned up and ready to go for next season.

When the lake runs low, the river runs green, and we finally get to fish a little bit. 🎣

Most of our days are spent building boats, fixing boats, talking about boats, and sending everyone else down the river in them. So when we get the chance to shut the shop door behind us, grab a few rods, and put one of our own boats to work, we take it.

A few fish in the net, a few lies told between holes, and a full day behind the oars is a pretty good reminder of why we’ve spent nearly four decades building these things in the first place.

We don’t get out nearly as much as we’d like, but that probably makes the days we do that much better.

On the home waters.

LaMoyne and J Ann Hyde both grew up in western Wyoming—LaMoyne in Auburn and J Ann in Smoot—making the famed rivers of the area, like the Snake, some of their go-to fishing haunts throughout their lives.

They’ve had the opportunity to fish all over the world, but the float from Pacific Creek to Deadman’s Bar is still one of their favorite places to be. And it’s easy to see why. Even when the fishing slacks off, you’re still floating through arguably one of the prettiest stretches of river in the world.

It’s places like this—and the opportunity to help protect the fisheries that have meant so much to the Hyde Family—that make the Jackson Hole One Fly such a special event for us. Next week, we’ll once again have the chance to support this incredible fishery and the work being done to keep it that way for generations to come.
