Victory Lane from last weekend

This year has been a huge challenge racing. Tonight was only my third race this season and only one more to go.

But tonight was phenomenal! During the heat race I started P1 but missed it bad. Ended up P3 and I was barely hanging on then.

After track prep before the feature I had really no idea what was coming. It ended up being one of the best races I’ve ever driven. The track was very technical and I knew if I missed the line I was toast. Started P1 and pulled off the win. Tom Brown and Randy Copeland were right there and raced me clean every lap what an awesome race

Without my teammate Randy Copeland and my wife’s support I wouldn’t be out here.

This race win is dedicated to my amazing pops Rich Johnson, the original Blue Buzzard. In the last 4 months his health has seriously declined. So this is for my pops, my hero, and the one who gave me the racing bug as a child. Thank you dad for the racing bug

Tonight is for my pops! I love you dad! You started this over 50 yrs ago and Blue Buzzard racing is still flying high.

Broke a part on the rear end with about a lap to go tonight, but still managed to finish second so it was a good night my teammate Randy finished number one. We were having a great back-and-forth battle until then. Thankful for great friends to race with. Randy Copeland.

It’s been a long winter life changes and lots of things going on but tonight is the night back on the dirt.

It’s been 4 yrs out of racing and learning a new type of car but it’s finally starting to come together.

What a crazy night tonight. Got my first win in a Legend. Terrible in the heat totally different in the feature. Couldn’t do it without my amazing wife Michelle West-Johnson, teammate Randy Copeland who has guided me through this learning process and helped tremendously in every way, and my crew chief tonight pops, Rich Johnson….. the original Blue Buzzard. What a fun night!!!

What an amazing night. Finished 5th in a fast field of cars. Couldn’t have done it without our entire legends group diving in to help me with an electrical gremlin and new shoes courtesy of Michael King. Car was an absolute dream to drive tonight. It would go anywhere I put it. Thank you to everyone for your help. Thank you to Randy Copeland Jay Quenzer Robert Quenzer Tommie Quenzer Stuart McKechnie Bill Curtis Mike Hacksaw Peters Keith Ahlgren Travis Wagner and hopefully I didn’t miss anyone.

Feature results. Was running great but had an issue with a few laps to go and lost a few spots again. If I can put a full race together things will happen. Randy Copeland had a great top 5 run though.
