We are going to be doing some trail maintenance on the FlatRock course next weekend, September 12th. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know. It's a great way to check out the course and earn some race credit.

We heard from a little birdie there has already been some maintenance in the works. Felled tress have been cut up to clear the way.

We will be spraying for the hornets throughout the course, but mainly the section between Oak Ridge and the Turnaround.

There are 5 individuals eligible for the FlatRock Triple Crown award the end of September. That means they have ran and finished WinterRock 25K, FlatRock 101K, and are currently signed up for the FlatRock 50K, all within the year 2026. They must complete FlatRock 50K in September 2026 to receive this award.
We are also in process of reviewing all who have been putting in their efforts year after year to be the next to be Knighted. Could it be you?
Do you have a full understanding of what being FlatRock knighted means?
9-10 years of running the course (dependent on whether or not you put in a year of FlatRock 101K). Basically, complete 10 years of the 50K in September consecutively or one year of 101K in April and 9 years of 50k in September consecutively, then FlatRock knighthood is within reach. Once this has been completed you receive your own Knight name and become a member of the Knights of the FlatRock Hall of Pain, which also means you can run the September FlatRock for no cost for the rest of forever.
