Do sauna suits work?!

The short answer: They’re great for getting rid of water weight

The long answer: No they don’t work for general weight or fat loss. The main idea of a sauna suit is it heats us up so we sweat A LOT more. However after we cool back down and stop exercising the suit is wet and gross and the benefit of wearing it stopped. Using them can be dangerous if we dehydrate to much

Here’s how we fix back pain! Last week I had a post about having back pain and why. This week is how we can help reduce or even get rid of that pain.

For starters we have to assess our posture and movement. This gives us (fitness / health professionals) a visual of muscles that can be tight and weak. From there we can continue the process of assessment or moving forward with strengthening.

Part of our issue is having weak abdominal and back muscles. These two muscle groups are responsible for keeping our spine in a supported position. When we
strengthen these muscles with static and dynamic movement it supports our spine better and usually allows us to move with far less pain.

Other muscles in our body can cause us back pain too. If our leg or glute muscles aren’t where they need to be in terms of strength they can become over active and tight. On the surface this just impacts our flexibility but since those muscles are connected to our pelvis it can cause irritation in our low back as they shift our bones away from their natural position.
