We would like to congratulate Barb Miklos on her 21 years as a Case Manager at Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission! Barb is most looking forward to getting a new puppy and volunteering with dog rescue in some capacity in her retirement. When asked what advice Barb has for her fellow coworkers it is to be respectful, be a good listener, work as a team, be honest with yourself and others and ask yourself when saying something: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication, Barb! All of us here at Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission wish you the best in your retirement!

Our next employee spotlight is Cathy Waltenbaugh! Cathy is celebrating 4 years employed with AICDAC (Addiction Recovery Mobile Outreach Team) as an ARMOT Certified Recovery Specialist. Cathy says that her life today is enriched by her family, dogs, her work family and so much more. A fun fact about Cathy is that her career with professional singing has taken her from singing at colleges, weddings, funerals, graduations, eight years with a professional band, a recording studio with local musicians and meeting some wonderful local musicians.
“This wonderful position has afforded me to give HOPE; be a part of CHANGE and to give a smile and loving quiet “it’ll be alright just for today” to those that have made a difference in my life and PRAY that I make a difference for someone no matter how great or small. WE ARE ENOUGH TOGETHER!”

Please join us at our Indiana Recovery Simulation Experience! This event is free and open to the public. It is on June 21st at the Ramada Inn in Indiana, PA. This simulation is very interactive and focuses on the challenges and stigma faced by those in early recovery from substance use disorder. We hope to see you there!
