🐾We are excited to announce Bill Fritz as our Middle School Wrestling Head Coach! 🐾
Coach Fritz started wrestling at age 6 for Manchester Wrestling in Carroll County, MD, and was a 3x Qualifier for Junior League States. While at North Carroll High School, he was a 4 year Varsity wrestler, 2x Maryland State Qualifier, and a Semi-Finalist at 152. Throughout his high school career, he earned 100+ career wins.
Coach Fritz then attended Penn State York (2013-2015), where he was a walk-on Varsity Baseball player and Captain of the team in 2015. In 2015, he transferred to Auburn University. In 2016, he wrestled for Auburn Club Team, and he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Aerospace Engineering.
Coach Fritz has coached Edge Baseball (2022-2024) and has been a volunteer coach for the Shippensburg High School team since 2022.
Some of his wrestling philosophies are: Sportsmanship above everything; Student comes before athlete in Student-Athlete; Basic technique is the foundation of all great wrestlers; Strength wins Matches, Speed wins Championships; and Help the athletes be the best version of themselves on and off the mat.
Coach Fritz is excited to share his knowledge of the sport he loves with the next generations of young wrestlers, giving them a strong foundation to be competitive at the higher levels of the sport.
