We are pleased to share the schedule for Saturday, August 2nd! We can’t wait to dance with everyone! Schedule details and notes are below:

SOLO SHOWCASE
Please note the addition of the Solo Showcase on the itinerary. This time slot provides an opportunity for any dancers to perform roughly a 30 second to 1 minute dance (improv or old routine) to showcase to their fellow dancers as well as the college programs. If you would like your song preselected, then please reach out through direct messaging on Instagram/Facebook, or email us the song & artist you would like to use by 6:00 AM EST on Saturday, August 2nd. If you would like to participate, but do not have a song preference, you can select from a preset list of options or let us randomize it for you. We hope that this allows dancers to showcase themselves as an individual before the improv challenge later in the day.

BREAKS
All breaks can be utilized as a break, or as an opportunity to network with the present college programs.

Further information regarding our awards offered can be found on our prior post on this page. Awards offered include the Program’s Choice Award, Improv Challenge Winner (1 winner per group), and Director’s Choice Award.

Additional Notes
*Gannon and Point Park will be attending the event, but not instructing a Master Class. St Vincent Dance Team had to withdraw from the event due performance conflicts with hosting Steelers Training Camp.

CONCESSIONS ANNOUNCEMENT

We are excited to share the prepared list of items and price ranges for the concession stand the IHS Dance Boosters are running this Saturday!

🍕 All food and snacks are between $1 to $4.
☕️ Water and coffee are $1 each. Gatorade is $3.
💰 Payment will be accepted via cash, check payable to the IHS Dance Boosters, or Venmo.

*IHS Dance Boosters is a registered 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax-deductible. They will be directly benefiting the IHS Dance Competition Team.

As we work towards finalizing the schedule for this upcoming weekend, we wanted to share an update. There will be numerous awards distributed at the Pittsburgh College Dance Combine to recognize the dancers present. The awards that will be distributed are:

REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED!!

Interested in dancing after high school? In case you haven’t already heard, IHS Dance Team is hosting a College Dance Combine in Indiana, PA on Saturday, August 2nd for dancers entering grades 8th and up for the 2025-26 school year.

As of now, we have six college dance programs and teams attending. At this combine, the programs and teams will be teaching masterclasses in various styles as well as hosting a Q&A panel from program/team representatives as well as their dancers. We’re hoping to better connect post high school dance opportunities to current high school students.

There is only a $15 registration fee! We will be sharing more information on our event Instagram page () and page (Pittsburgh College Dance Combine). The link to register is: https://forms.gle/tVoGAkAEw4c6BcLJA. Registration/payment deadline is Tuesday, July 29th.

One month until the combine! Here’s a tentative schedule for the combine! Each college program will have one class spot assigned to them. Both Q&A panels will have representatives from all programs! We can’t wait!
