Indy Edge Softball-11U Gold

As the season nears its end, our team continues to compete in 12U with only one 12-year-old on the roster currently. Every week, we are challenged by teams with greater size, strength, and experience, but our fight, determination, and ability to compete continue to grow.

We are finding ways to battle harder, play smarter, and stay competitive. Most importantly, we are learning that effort, toughness, and teamwork can close those gaps.

Our focus for the remainder of the season will be on mastering the fundamentals and playing disciplined softball.

And now we train with the forever opponent Jake!

I told the girls and their families at the beginning of the season that this year would be a challenge playing up. It's a hard ask to tell families who have always been part of a winning team to be okay with losing, and then to actually accept a season full of adversity. But we continue to power through, learn, and grow in ways that, in the long run, will only help us succeed.

This weekend was full of growth, rebuilding, and valuable lessons, and we will continue to do that together. The results may not always be what we want right now, but the progress is there. I'm proud of the way these girls continue to show up, compete, and support each other through the challenges. I am a very proud coach.
