⭐️ SPOTLIGHT ON OUR JANUARY Y6 AMBASSADOR - ⭐️
Follow along with Alex throughout the month as she shares her experience with Y6 Indy! 🫶🏼 & thank you Alex for being such an amazing light in our community!
“I was born and raised in Indy! I went to Cathedral High School and Indiana University, and was
heavily involved in the fitness community after college for around 6 years before pivoting into
the world of tech in the last year and a half. Shoutout to all the amazing fitness studios in and
around Indy – finding a community that both encourages you and holds you accountable is so
important, and I think YogaSix does a great job at both!
A few things I love (pictured): my cat Merlin, my niece Charlie, outdoor adventures, concerts,
laughing, drinks & apps, and being in my 30’s!”

So many thank yous to our December Ambassador, !
Check out some of her favorite Indy spots. 🍦🐱🍷
“Some of my favorite local places to go include some of my favorite things: ice cream, cats and wine!
My new go to place to get some delicious ice cream is . They do Featured Flavor Friday & also have some dairy free options, too!
is a place that is always fun! It’s a cafe where you can get drinks (coffee, tea, frozen drinks) & a few baked goods and then get to sit in a room to play with cats & potentially adopt a cat you fall in love with!
I also love going to wineries and tasting wine; I am always open to any winery. Recently, I went to , right in the Mass Ave area. If you are a fan of semi-sweet or dry wine, I highly recommend popping in for a tasting!

Make 2025 a year of clarity and purpose ✨
In this workshop, you’ll reflect on 2024 and get clear on what you want in the new year.
You’ll be guided through a short yoga flow followed by a guided meditation designed to help you tap into the truth of what 2024 meant to you and what your inner guidance is calling you to embrace in 2025.
We will then use this newfound clarity in a group journaling session where you’ll answer simple and straightforward prompts that help you uncover your 2025 intentions.
You will leave the workshop with a heartfelt 2025 intention/word of the year as well as a manifestation statement and NYE ritual to add a little magic to your intentions.
We look forward to sharing this magic with you and seeing you there!

Our December Ambassador, , is back with some Y6 wisdom! 🌟
Tell us what classes you love at YogaSix and why? Did you always love them, or was there a learning curve and growth of love?
“My absolute favorite class is Sculpt and Flow; I go to religiously on Wednesday and Saturday morning. At first, I was super nervous because I have never been into yoga or weight lifting/working out but Sculpt and Flow was an awesome way to get into light weights, learn yoga & also learn to love working out. Now, I like to challenge myself by seeing how long I can hold yoga poses in class that I never thought I would be able to do. The confidence I have gained through doing Sculpt and Flow has pushed me to be more open minded in trying some of the other yoga classes offered through !

Cheers to our November Ambassador, , as she shares some recs of her fave Indy spots!
“I moved downtown a few years ago and have been working on exploring more ever since! My favorite thing to do in the city is see live music, and I spend a lot of time at Hi-Fi, Rathskeller, and Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in the summer (1st pic with my sister 🥰) I also love the Kurt Vonnegut museum and mural - he was a great author and great for the city of Indy. There’s so much to learn at the museum! Another favorite activity is shopping for records and I always stop at Square Cat. I love seeing movies at the Kan-Kan and having dinner and drinks at the Inferno Room tiki bar in Fountain Square! And for the best ciders in the city, head to Ash & Elm!”

Our November Ambassador, , is back.
Worth the read… all the way to the end. 🤍
“The advice I’d give to someone trying out yoga for the first time is…
1. Don’t be afraid to look a little goofy!
2. The only person paying attention to you in class is your teacher. Everyone else is focused on not falling over & holding postures correctly. Your teacher is there to make sure you’re comfortable and not at risk of injuring yourself. They’ll also offer modifications - for example, if you’re like me, and a full push up isn’t in your wheelhouse every week, you can keep your knees on the ground!
3. No one is going to judge you for taking a break, resetting your feet, taking a posture from the floor, etc. Everyone in class is at a different skill level, so don’t let anyone intimidate you! You’re a star just for showing up ⭐️
4. If you have never done yoga before, I always suggest taking a slow flow, restore, or 101 class first. This is just to ensure you get an idea for the way classes flow, and get a grasp on the basic postures that you’ll do in every class. It takes time to learn anything, and yoga is no different. These classes can help you build confidence in the core fundamentals before you move up to higher intensity/fast pace classes!
5. Look fab, feel fab! (cc: lol). When I wear my favorite outfits to class, I walk in feeling confident and ready for whatever the next hour holds. It’s such a simple thing but somehow always elevates my practice. So if you see me wearing the same bright blue shorts every week… 😛👀”
