Our focus is simple: teaching athletes how to lift in ways that actually translate to sport.
Not every athlete needs to train like an Olympic lifter, powerlifter, or bodybuilder. Those styles have value, but sports demand strength in positions that carry over to running, jumping, cutting, absorbing contact, changing direction, and producing force on the field of play.
I have yet to train an athlete who didn’t need work on the basics: proper squat technique, efficient bench press mechanics, understanding the strong side of the foot, knowing where to drive from when sprinting or jumping, and learning how to control and absorb their own body weight.
What I’ve realized is this: it’s not just athletes who need guidance. Trainers and coaches also need to understand how athletes build strength, balance, coordination, and body awareness through the right resistance training.
That is why I have decided to start creating the THA LAB Certification Program.
Not because everyone thinks they’re a trainer now, but because if you are going to train athletes, you should have a better understanding of how to train them and why athletes need certain things done a certain way.
The goal is not just to look strong.
The goal is to build strength that shows up in the weight room and transfers to the field of play.
That’s what we teach at THA LAB. ™️
