The Tea's Me Cafe at Tarkington Park has reopened as of Monday 8/25. Thank you to our wonderful maintenance team for their work at getting the Cafe reopened. Stop by Monday Through Saturday from 9am-3pm for a tea or treat!

Update: Splash Pad is reopened and will close for the season after 9/30.

Tarkington Park’s Splash Pad is currently down for routine maintenance, we anticipate to be back up by tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates. Sorry for the inconvenience, while Tarkington’s splash pad feel free to check out Andrew Ramsey Park’s Splash Pad right up the road in Butler-Tarkington.

Starting tomorrow, May 21, the east side of the southern play area at Tarkington Park will be closed for about three weeks as we make improvements.

The rest of the playground and park will remain open, meaning that there's still plenty of room to play, relax, and enjoy!

We appreciate your patience as we continue to invest in our parks.

Just a reminder that we would love to see you this Monday (3/31 @ 5pm at the MLK Center) for a community open house to discuss MORE improvements coming to Tarkington Park.

We will discuss the additional Improvements coming to the park thanks to Butler University

Indy Parks wants to hear from all our neighbors about any changes and improvements you want to see at Tarkington Park, especially if you're age 12-20! The Parks department is hosting an open house on March 31 at the Center, from 5-7:00 p.m. This is your chance to share your thoughts about what you’d like to see at our local park!

🛟 $15 an hour
🛟 Must be 16 by May
🛟 Must be able to Swim 100 yards, Tread water for a minute without the assistance of your hands, and be able to retrieve brick off of bottom of pool (10-foot deep end)
🛟 Candidate must have reliable transportation
🛟 In house Lifeguard Certification Training and Uniform for just $10
🛟 Learn skills such as water rescues, surveillance, First aid, CPR and BLS
🛟 Teach Swim Lessons or Assist with Swim Team
🛟 Get to work outside and with large diverse staff team
