Indy Lightning - 12U Schilling

4th in the state tournament. Not the goal, but not too shabby either. The girls bats were 🔥 and they made some great defensive plays this weekend. They dug themselves into some holes, but they never stopped fighting. All while playing on some extra toasty turf and some of the hottest weather we’ve seen this year. Good work ladies!
Next tournament - Stars and Strikes tourney in 2 weeks.

The USSSA 12B field has been narrowed down from 28 teams down to only 8 remaining. We continue to battle Sunday at 9:30am at Lincoln Park. Come cheer the girls on or follow along on GameChanger.

Hey we know that lady! That’s right, Coach Jen is moving to Crossroads 13B next year. While she is focused and dedicated to our current team right now, we want to make sure everyone is aware of this great opportunity. Tryout info in the comments. She hopes to see lots of familiar faces out there and she’s looking forward to helping girls continue to grow.

Crossroads Athletics is excited to introduce Coach Jen Schilling, our 13B Softball Coach for the 2026-27 season!

Coach Jen brings a strong softball background and a passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

Jen believes that confidence, effort, and a love for learning are the foundation of athletic success. Her goal is to help players develop strong fundamentals, compete with confidence, and enjoy the journey of becoming better athletes and teammates.

This girl. She went from being one of two catchers to our only catcher overnight. The pressure is immense behind the plate. And I’ve been looking around and let me tell you, 12b ball is TOUGH. 12b has some of strongest teams I’ve seen within a wide range of ages. Maybe it’s just a natural hurdle and maybe we’re exactly where we need to be because this girl here has made huge strides. Way to go, Ensley!!! Keep working hard!! 1% better every pitch, every play, every day!! So proud of you💙
