Day 2 recap of the Chaz Groat Memorial: AJ Luttmer ( #31) was fast qualifier. The 3 heat race winners include: 1 - River Merrill ( #9); 2 - Tyler West ( #77); and 3 - AJ Luttmer ( #31). Main event winner was Ashlyn Powell ( #25) who came all the way from Arkansas to race with us! We congratulate all of you.

For the two-night event, there were additional awards provided for total points as well as other awards for the weekend action: AJ Luttmer ( #31) was the high point winner; Ashlyn Powell ( #25) was 2nd; and Devin Westover ( #13) was 3rd. Chuck Groat ( #14 aka Flying Fossil) and Ashlyn Powell both received a “Lap 13 Leader” trophy. Trevor Anderson ( #69) earned the honors for most improved in finishing positions from Friday and Saturday; Tyler West ( #77) for most cards passed Friday (6), Trevor Anderson ( #69) for most cars passed Saturday (7), and Nic Escobedo ( #05) for hard luck. We congratulate all the drivers!

Day 2 of the Chaz Groat Memorial will be getting underway soon. The 2nd practice will not set qualifying order. The midgets will be doing traditional qualifying. Chuck Groat ( #14 - Flying Fossil) lead the entire main event taking the checkers. In honor of his son, he took the checkered flag around the track in celebratory fashion. Tears of joy and excitement filled the stands and pits.

It has begun. Today is the first day of the 3rd Annual Chaz Memorial.

The countdown begins! A week from today, the Rocky Mountain Radical Focus Midgets, as well as other Focus Midget clubs, will meet at the Meridian Speedway for the 3rd Annual Chaz Groat Memorial! The two night race event, beginning on September 22, is sure to bring some fierce competition throughout the entire weekend.
