Aspire Lounge San Diego

This Aspire Airport Lounge at the San Diego Airport is perfect for those not needing a full blown meal. Opening at 5am the line was full of hungry adults and a few children looking to bridge the gap between a the complimentary options on an early outgoing flight and the higher priced airport restaurants. Upon entry simply show a prepaid membership or pay the fee listed. At the time we used the space we had the Priority Pass option but the fee would have been worth the money for what is offered. Would need to stop in mid day to see the flow once opened and compare the lunch or dinner crowds but this trip was for the early risers!

Although not open at 5am, you can see it is equipped with a full bar for those seeking alcoholic beverages. The food options consisted of a variety of breads and waffles with a conveyor oven for heating. Fruits, 3 types of juice, dry cereal, yogurts along with hard boiled eggs rounded out with your typical coffee and tea options.

Overall we give it a 8/10. Being that it was just opening there were no cleaning issues, was not over crowded (initial line was pretty long), showers, had plenty of seating options, TVs and to be a non “5 star” lounge on the level of a Sky Miles or Centurion, it had comparable amenities except extensive hot food options. The only issue we saw were a few beverage machines were out of order and then once the initial wave of guests went through what was offered, it took a few minutes to get those items restocked. Early bird definitely gets the worn!
