GCC/Southside Bible Jets Football Team

This page was dedicated to the Greenwood Christian Church - Southside Bible Church "Jets" football team of 2011-2012 AAG flag football league in Greenwood, Indiana. The team finished the season as Blue Division champions with 6 wins and 4 losses.

JETS PLAYERS - I just got an email from Wes, an official with the AAG league, saying that they will NOT have a flag football league in 2012. Also, I hear that team captain Jason Adams may have left Southside Bible Church.

So between the two, that pretty much dooms any chance we had of reviving the GCC/Southside Jets for 2012. If anyone knows of a new league, please let me know. Otherwise we'll have to bask in the glory of our 2011 title again this season.

PRAYER UPDATE:

Will Taylor, went through surgery at just the right time last night. Any later and it would've been too late. Please keep him in your prayers as the next 72 hours are critical. He has been moved to Community North. Thanks for all your prayers!! SD

According to an email we just received from Southside our champion Center Will Taylor has just been rushed to Community South Hospital for open heart surgery. Please keep him in your prayers!!!

Just thinking what a great, fun year we had. Thanks again to Jason and all my teammates. Who knew that we'd go from 0-3 to a championship team? What a great time that was. Thanks to all.

Braggin' on my homies... the Dolphins QB was mad when he had 4 passes deflected in one game. I didn't have a single pass deflected all year (and it's not because I'm so mobile). He was sacked 4X in one game... I was sacked once all season. James, Michael, Will, Jason are the best O-line in the league!

Stephen Dale and I will be at Greenwood Park Mall Applebee's tomorrow night (Thurs) at 8:30 for the Colts game. All Jets players are invited to join us for a good time. We'll be there for the entire game. Hope to see you guys there!

AUDIBLES WORK! While going for our PAT in the second half, Aaron's man was playing him really soft. I looked at Micah for misdirection and shouted, "Aaron, blue SL 110!" Aaron got the message and ran a slant route underneath the corner and scored. HA! Take that, Peyton Manning. You couldn't draw that one up any better with X's and O's on a chalk board. Way to go, Aaron!

Okay, who's staying in shape and practicing? For me today... 50 push ups, 100 crunches, four 200-yard wind sprints. At my age you can't be fast anymore. But you can still be tough as nails. :) Who else is getting ready for Sunday?!!
