Congratulations to Jeff Parmelee for winning the IBA 2014 Players Championship!!!! He won a solo title which has never been done in the history of the IBA and it was done in dramatic fashion. The first 3/4 of the night were battled at B's Po Boy but the IBA closed this establishment down and the action was taken across the street. It was there that Ryan Schleeter and David Johnson defeated Nick Brothers and Scott Webster in a 12-10 come from behind victory in the match leading up to the playoff with Jeff. Johnson and Schleeter each had their two balls and Parmelee had 4. After 7 balls thrown Schleeter/Johnson were showing game and then Parmelee dropped the bomb that pushed the pallino back just inches from one of his other throws and he stole the match!!!! Congrats again to J Parm!!! No three-peat for Johnson Schleeter and after the game all Schleeter could say was..."Damn crab cakes. I knew I should have stayed away from the crab cakes". Words of wisdom from an almost three time players champ. However the night belong to Jeff Parmelee who is a true Playa!!!!
