HAI Meeting
The next meeting of the Indianapolis Horological Association will be held on May 30, 2012 at the TgiFridays in Westfield. This month's agenda will be to elect someone to be our AWCI Affiliate Chapter delegate at the AWCI Annual meeting/convention in Denver Colorado this August 1-5. Our program for the meeting is a travelogue by our own Bill Rostiser on his recent visit to Jerusalem and the Holy Lands.
A swap and trade will be held before and during the meeting, so bring your extra goodies, tools, timepieces and material that you wish for someone else to benefit from. I personally have a couple old machines that I intend to haul down, as well as some hand tools and material.
Speaking of tools for sale, I was recently contacted by recently widowed lady in the central Indiana region who has her late husbands tools, clocks, and parts for sale. If any of you are interested, please call me at my shop (765-742-8716) and I will put you in contact with her.
Our meeting will begin with socializing at approximately 5:30-6:30, with dinner orders beginning at 6:30 program to commence at 7:30ish. Come early and bring a friend. Don't forget, dining is optional, but your attendance is eagerly anticipated.

As usual, come out for some horological fellowship, and bring a friend. If you have ideas for future programs please feel free to email your suggestions to me!

The next meeting of the Indianapolis Horological Association will be held Wednesday November 30, 2011 at TGIFridays in Westfield. This month we will have a swap and trade meeting and a short program by Rudy Holhein, on his days in a traditional European Watchmaking school. He has some very enjoyable and informative stories to relate. He does have a possible conflict due to some extended family, but expects that to be resolved with plenty of time to get back for our meeting. In any event, if Rudy is unable to address us, then we will have a short DVD program made by Past AWCI President Alice Carpenter on fitting crystals and stems.

Please visit his website for a more detailed offering of the services his business provides. This should be a very interesting program, as many of the services provided at Old Foundry crossover into our own fields of expertise.
