If you have friends or family who have been interested in trying CrossFit, this is a great opportunity to learn in a safe and inclusive environment. Anna Rode and Jared Byczko will be leading this session starting on Monday, January 9th from 6:30a-7:30a. We will be capping this program to 8 participants to keep the class intimate with an emphasis on education and learning. We want to set you up for future success within CrossFit and fitness.

🎀 On Saturday, October 15, Myriad will be participating in Barbells for B***s — an ongoing CrossFit event to raise awareness for breast cancer care and preventative health dating back to 2012. All Myriad CrossFit classes on October 15 will participate in the workout “Grace” — 30 clean + jerks for time. The Bootcamp classes will also have a corresponding workout with a similar “Grace”-style programmed for Bootcamp.

Wear pink, raise funds and exercise in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Help spread awareness and take action to define a new standard of care for folx affected by breast cancer. Myriad Health + Fitness has been fundraising for Barbells for B***s for several years and is so excited to bring this back in 2022.

Meet Andra! A long-term member dating back to the Naptown days, Andra has been a coach with Myriad for two and a half years. What Andra loves most about coaching is having time to get to know the members. Included in that, the ability to help people figure out their best way to do different movements also brings her joy. Her favorite type of movements are most anything with a barbell and attempting to walk on her hands. Outside of the gym, Andra enjoys spending time with her husband Nick (also a Myriad coach!) and two children. Cooking a great meal for friends and family is a favorite activity as well. Something fun and silly about Andra you may not know — she and her family frequently make up songs about their dogs, their cats, each other and life lessons. She says they tend to stick and will be sung for years after! Next time you take class with Andra, walk up to her and make up a song — it just might stick!

Myriad Weightlifting will be hosting its first sanctioned meet on Saturday, October 29, 2𝟶22! Participation will be limited so sign up early to compete. Must be a USAW member to compete. All weight categories will be contested and prizes will be awarded to the top lifters (male and female). Spectators are welcome to join.

Let's highlight one of Myriad's OGs -- Coach Anna!

Not only a fitness coach, but also a 200-HR yoga teacher, Anna has been coaching and teaching for over 10 years. Anna loves to coach because she enjoys helping individuals find belief in themselves, achieving goals they never thought possible. What she finds so special about this job, is that she not only sees folks reaching new ground at the gym, but she watches it carry over into day-to-day life as they try new things in other realms. At the gym, Anna loves snatches the most. However outside of the gym, she loves to hang out with her husband and her three dogs, try out new restaurants and generally just enjoy the city of Indianapolis! Oh and did we mention --you can still find this former college athlete kicking a ball around on the soccer field for fun. As a self-proclaimed pop culture ju**ie, we can always turn to Anna to know whats trending on the Gram and elsewhere -- she just loves to know what's going on! Next time you see her around the gym, ask her thoughts on the latest Beyonce album, she will surely have an opinion.
