The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

Summer Mornings…….

Meet our Brave & Scout Coach Maria Hernandez!

My name is Maria Hernandez. I was a swimmer for about 12 years of my life within the Warren Aquatics Club and Warren school system. I started swimming lessons at Warren Central when the club was still called Power Aquatics and continued swimming year-around through the club, the middle school team, and the high school team. I began teaching swim lessons in high school and became a lifeguard as well. For so long, the pool has been the biggest constant in my routine and it has seen me through so many stages of my life. Swimming has introduced me to some of my favorite people in the world, taught me endless discipline, and has provided me a greater understanding of myself as a person. Getting to become a coach at the pool that shaped me for hours every day for over a decade, getting to see my old coaches that pushed me through my formative years, and connecting with new people through the sport is something I’m endlessly grateful for. WAC is my home away from home and I hope to make it a place that our swimmers can be proud to be a part of and come to love like I do!

Day 2 of the Jamie Miller Donner Swim Meet!

The sun chose violence today, but our swimmers chose fast swims. From first events to relays, this team kept fighting, cheering, and getting after it. Proud of the effort and energy they brought all day long. Warrior Strong! 💛🖤

Tonight, Warren Swim was recognized by Warren Township for the work being done within our swimming program, and we truly appreciate being seen and supported by our community.

This recognition belongs to our swimmers, families, and coaches who continue to show up, work hard, support one another, and represent what it means to be Warrior Strong.

We are proud of how far this program has come, and we’re not done yet. We’ll continue building, growing, and showing everyone what Warren Swim is all about. 💛🖤

Day 3 recap: the meet was almost over… then the Avengers arrived
Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man and the crew showed up poolside to protect the lanes and defend the swimmers. Coincidence that fast swims started happening after that? We think not

Happy Mother’s Day to our Swim Moms 💛

The real endurance athletes of the swim team.

Thank you for surviving:
• 5am alarms
• wet towels in the car
• chlorine-scented everything
• “Mom, where are my ………?”
• and sitting through 5 hour swim meets for a 28 second race

You keep them fed, on time, encouraged, and somehow still cheering louder than everyone else.

Swim moms deserve gold medals, extra coffee, and at least one extra snuggle.

Happy Mother’s Day to the MVPs behind the blocks!

With Summer season underway, we are doing a “get to know the Coaches” series.

Meet our Silver Coach!
My name is Roman Davis, for about seven years I was a swimmer within the Warren Aquatics Club, I was taught how to swim through Warren’s swim lessons, and I swam with the middle school swim teams as well. I became a lifeguard in 2020 and the pool became even more of a refuge for me. Swimming has been integral to who I was and it still is integral to who I want to be. I’ve loved swimming as the water brings me a peace few other sports could. My best events through high school ended up being the 200 IM & the 500 FR.
I’m honored WAC has given me the opportunity to become a coach and I intend to pour all the knowledge and support I can into these young swimmers.
