Had a good day. With a car that hadn’t been out of the shop before Saturday and no dyno time, a 10.60 I will take. Like GM calls their harness, it literally was a plug n play. Like the mph too. Unfortunately I made the decision to call it for the week. Did a lot of one off stuff on this engine swap and would like more road time close to home before setting out on the open road. Happy to have my car again. 4 years between dragweeks. Nuts how time can get away from you. Last post when I was thanking Richie, Mike and Walt, I needed to also thank Will Smith and Mike Cotten for cleaning up my hornet’s nest of wiring. Now I have a year to get ready next years dragweek, should be no problem, right?? 🤞🏻✌🏻

Made it. And teched. Good to go for tomorrow. No test and tune today. Sometimes test and tunes turn into ruin and destroy. I want my week to last longer than that. 🤪

Finally. On way to Dragweek. Finished about 9 PM last night. Not really finished, there’s about 15 other things that needs to be truly done but not gonna wait another year. Thanks to Richie Crampton, Mike Norris and Walt Herr for the continued and last minute help.

Having a little fun with a throwback at Luke’s first Indy while honoring the past. Using mom and dad’s scheme from their winning car at the 1970 Winternationals. Maybe gave us some good mojo with a first round win yesterday. Thank you to the stickman for flying in to apply the graphics himself and to help us this week. 🙏🏻 Wish Luke some luck as eliminations continue today. 👊🏻 ❤️✌🏻

More cool parts rolling in for this small block build/rebuild… a Shaver-Wesmar gear drive. Such a nice part. Shame to hide it behind a cover. Dad would say it’s bitchin. Dad would also say it’s cool that Bob Westphal was one of the original designers of and they worked together at Ed Pinks. Gonna be a fun summer. 👊🏻 💪🏻✌🏻
