Crosley Brands - Howerton Motorsports would like to take this opportunity to announce the retirement of Bryan Smith and the Crosley - Howerton flat track team. We have enjoyed a decade of success and memories that will last a lifetime for us and many others. Formed in 2012, Bo LeMastus, Ricky Howerton, and Bryan Smith came together to form a team that quickly had success at the highest level, winning the twins championship in its first year. Again in 2013 as twin’s champions, narrowly missing the overall in 2014, and finally in 2016 won the overall AMA Pro Grand National Championship. Ricky and Bryan eventually went on to run the factory Indian Motorcycle race team, years later the Harley Davidson factory team (though Vance and Hines) and ended their careers as a privateer team. (Crosley Brands - Howerton Motorsports with factory support from Indian Motorcycle) The team’s success was directly from the dedication of Bo LeMastus, Ricky Howerton, Ron Glidden, Jeff Gordon, Joe Schmidt, and the talent of Bryan Smith. 57 podiums, 24 wins, 1 - X Games Gold Medal, 2 Twins Championships, and 1 Overall Championship, and the last team to win the overall championship with an OEM production-based engine (Kawasaki EX650) since Kenny Roberts did it in 1974, the team is proud of its accomplishments.
