Good morning from Putnam Park! The day has begun and everyone is is getting through registration and tech. Soon we'll see action on track. The variety of cars is impressive. Here's a sample of what's running today

You only have until Friday to get registered for the Indy Region SCCA Time Trials at Putnam Park!

For those who haven't tried a high-performance driving event on a road course, a IndySCCA Time Trial is the best way to get started at one of the best road courses to get started at! Don't let the term time trial intimidate you. Enter as a Novice and receive professional coaching before and after each session. Unlike a typical track day where you're run group is released on track however you happen to arrive at grid, the time trial format allows our team to rank you by speed in order to give you and everyone else in your run group plenty of space to hone your skills while negotiating the least amount of traffic. Your sessions will be a higher quality experience for the same or less money that everyone else charges. All you need is a safe car and a legal helmet.

For those who are experienced in track days, time trials offer something more, a real competitive experience with officiated timing and more open track to lay down some laps and verify improvements in performance. It's not wheel to wheel racing, it's comparing lap times against others in your run group so it's still a track day experience with something more.

As of today, the weather forecast is predicting a nice weekend so there's no reason not to come out and turn some laps. You'll get plenty of sessions each day, you will get your money's worth.
