On May 30th, IndySCCA's Solo Program had a Successful, LARGE Solo School on May 30th, with 26 students and 10 instructors.
Thanks for the teachers for helping out: Brandon Porambo, Chris Sheildsmith, Chris Wheatley, Darren Daubenspeck, Grant Sonderorth, Joel Wasser, Kevin Keys, Masao Garcia, Peter Schnore, and Will Lahee!
Another important group is the volunteers who stood out in the sun and worked course, gate, and setup/teardown. We all need to put these folks on our Christmas Card lists: Norm Currey, Michael James, Kevin Berba, Logan Dales, David Meyer, and Tony Muriel.
The Indy Region thrives because of the great people that volunteer to help out! We still have volunteer positions open for the Autocross Challenge at SIA (aka, The Subaru Challenge) and the SCCA Solo National Tour in July. Contact Chuck Nienhouse ([email protected]), Chair of the Solo Program, to see what volunteer opportunities are available.

With heavy hearts it's unfortunate but we have to cancel Round 1/2 at Gingerman next weekend.
Message from the event staff below.
Rounds 3/4 Indy vs Ucky 2.0 is still a go at NCM. Along with 5/6 at Putnam!

Last weekend's Workday at Grissom was a huge success! We had at least 24 people come out to help from all of the groups that use the Grissom site. Folks from IndySCCA, Fort Wayne Region SCCA, the Indiana Corvette Enthusiasts "ICE" https://www.facebook.com/groups/2180708895474473, and the Ft Wayne Corvette Club https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063500503554 joined together and tackled the job of keeping the Grissom concrete surface usable. We used 54 bags of quick-crete and several pails of epoxy to finish up the repairs. I believe this is the most extensive repair Grissom has had in years! If you see any of the folks on this list give them a big thank-you. Because of them we will be able to continue using the maximum amount of the Grissom surface that we can for our events.
Apologies to anyone left off of the worker list, but there were a whole bunch of busy workers scattered about. PM us if you helped and are not listed, as we need to include you on the list.

Results from Points #1 have been posted, here: http://indyscca.org/SoloFiles/SoloResults/2026/2026SoloResults.html.
We had some problems with living timing displaying the new classes such as CSX, CSM, and a few others. This is now probably fixed, as seen on our live timing link here: http://indyscca.org/live/. We'll fully test that out at Points #2 at the end of the month.

The National Office's Member Account Portal is a pretty good system, but may be confusing if you've never logged in to use it.
Here is a short but very good Youtube tutorial on how to get the most out of the MAP:

Update to the 2026 Indy Region Solo Schedule: After the BoD ratified a change to the Solo Program Points & Awards rules, the Indy Region hosted July 18 & 19 Grissom National Tour event will be counted as the Indy Region Solo Series Points Event #5 - so there are now officially 9 events in the Season Championship series for Indy Region members.
The new change is: for the purpose of the Indy Region Season Championship, all National Tour competitors that are NOT Indy Region members will be deleted from the results - and the remaining Indy Region competitors will be moved 'up' into the vacated finish positions.
This means as an Indy Region member, the NT event is even more special if you're in the competition for the season championship in your Solo class.
The other big change in the Points and Awards rules is the removal of the math calculation of event skips to count as a full season...now, the rules state that a competitor can skip 2 events of the season without penalty.... but this also means if a competitor runs all the events of the season, your worst 2 results will be deleted from the championship results calculation.
There are a few more changes in both the Indy Region Points & Awards rules, and the Indy Region Supplemental Solo Rules. The most relevant change is to clarify that we MAY have sound control at regional events...not that we WILL have sound control - as the old rules stipulated.
Please read through the newly ratified Indy Region Solo Series Points & Awards rules, and the Solo Supplemental rules, found on the Solo Program page here: http://indyscca.org/SoloPage.html
