Hi! My name is Elena and I have danced at Curtain Call for 10 years. I have been a member of Senior Performing Company for 3 years and I have apprenticed in the past. I have also performed in the Nutcracker for 2 years. My favorite role was being the rat.
My favorite style of dance is jazz because I get to express my energy and big personality. I will be performing a jazz/lyrical style to the song “Brave” by Sara Bareilles at Dance Against Cancer in Show 2 and at CC’s end of the year concert. Mrs. Michelle choreographed my specialty and I am excited to perform it because I get to show my talent and it’s my first solo so I get to feel the experience!
Additionally to my involvement at Curtain Call, I was doing theater for my school. During my free time I like to be with family, friends, my dog, bake, do crafts, and play the piano.
Something I love about Curtain Call is that they make the studio feel like home, and everyone there feels like family. I am so grateful to my grandma and my dad because I wouldn’t be the dancer I am without them!
Love, Elena Carr

Hi! My name is Maddie Warman and I’m a senior at Brownsburg High School! I was involved in the pom squad all four years there and am a member of the National Science Honor Society and National Honor Society.
At CCDC, I have been in the Nutcracker since my second year. My favorite roles were Sugar Plum and Princess of the Pines!! I have also been in the apprentice program off and on throughout middle school and high school. I’ve been apart of both Junior Performing Company and Senior Performing Company for 11 of my 12 years here.
For my senior solo, I am doing a song from Mamma Mia. My tenth year I did the same, this movie is extremely important to me and holds a lot of sentimental value. Style wise, I am doing lyrical/contemporary. I will be performing it in the first show of DAC and the second show for Spring Concert!
Curtain Call is such a special place and I love all the staff and my friends for making my experience amazing! Special shout out to my mom, Mindy Warman, for making my dreams come true :). I’m so excited to end this year off strong!!
xoxo,
Maddie
