5th Annual Tour de Homecoming!!

Today we donned our black (and red) and gold for the HawkCy Game and toured our schools in the Indianola School District!

With homecoming week coming up, we took a trip down memory lane to our elementary schools, the middle school, and our new high school.

Teachers and Staff at our schools often make our learning spaces feel like a home away from home and it was fun to run by these places for our long run today. 🫶

Meet Results
Bobcat Invitational

Varsity Girls placed 14th
JV Girls placed 12th

Our goal was top 15 so yay! Lots of great competition and strong teams at this meet.

We were also down 4 of our 7 varsity runners..only 3 finished this race! Mabel and Hadley stepped up in a big way to help us out and get a score!

LOVED the JV huddle~ they went around on their own and shared something positive before the race. 🥹

In the past, this course has been pretty short, but this year it was darn near perfect 5K distance, so we have some PRs and SBs to celebrate!

Dinner and a Sunset Cruise! 🚤🌅

Huge thank you to the junior families, especially the parents and grandparents of Kaelee, who hosted a wonderful team dinner last night!

Extra shout out to Kaelee's grandparent's neighborhood who all came together to offer boat rides on their private lake!! Cross Country has such a neat village and it really showed last night! How cool!!

With the Ames course being a little long, we did a little math to adjust times to see what the girls would have run had the course been 3.1...

Queen Nora would have been 2 SECONDS off of a LIFETIME BEST according to her adjusted time!! Wow!! What a gutsy race by her on a hot hot day! A testament to her hard work in the summer getting miles on the ground and wrestling on the mat!

Queen Mabel has very obviously been working on her mental game and it shows on the course as she exudes confidence and calm! Proud of her poise on race day!
