This TeeWee baseball glove was found last year after the last game and left in the dugout. It says Carsen C. on it. Anyone know a 4-5 year old this could be?!

Important Information on 2020 Season

Late Signups- In past years, we have been very lenient in allowing late signups in order to allow anyone who still wanted a chance to play to get signed up. This has caused issues with ending up with too many players per team, and puts a real challenge on our vendors to make sure all uniforms and hats are in by opening day. This season, registration ends at tryout on March 7, 2020.

It won't be long until Spring...board members were hard at work today working toward our concession stand renovations!

We are looking at doing a fundraiser this fall and checking to see if there is enough interest in an ** adult ** kickball tournament. Please let us know and share with your friends!

[01/18/20]   Important Information on 2020 Season

Late Signups- In past years, we have been very lenient in allowing late signups in order to allow anyone who still wanted a chance to play to get signed up. This has caused issues with ending up with too many players per team, and puts a real challenge on our vendors to make sure all uniforms and hats are in by opening day. This season, registration ends at tryout on March 7, 2020. The only late entries that will be accepted after that time will be if there are positions open to fill teams. We are going to be more proactive about getting the word out, in the next few weeks there will be ads ran in newspapers, flyer sent in Digital Backpack through the schools, and other flyers in businesses around town to remind you to get signed up.

Coaches/Volunteers- As always, we need volunteers to coach! We did have issues with having some leagues with too many players on a team last season, and part of that was do to not being able to get enough coaches. This season we will have a cap in place for number of players, so if we reach a point where we do not have enough coaches, we will need to get more coaches before we can open up for more players. Also a reminder that if you are planning on being a head coach/assistant or just a helper in the dugout, you must sign up online for these volunteer roles and submit a background check that will be sent to you. In addition, if you have any interest or are planning on coaching in All Stars, you MUST be signed up and have passed the background check to be eligible.

Waivers- If your child is in a situation where they may have moved to an address outside our boundaries, moved to a different school, etc., that does not neccasarily mean they are not eligible to play in our league, or even in All Stars. There are waivers that can often be given, however, these MUST be done prior to the start of the season, if we wait until the end of year to try to get the waivers, it will too late or they could be deemed ineligible. If you have any questions about the status of your child's eligibility, please reach out to us so we can get it squared away before the season begins.

Any questions, let us know. We don't want to flood you with emails and communications, but we are going to do our best to communicate more effectively and keep everyone updated with what is going on. Thanks, and looking forward to a great 2020 season!

2020 Indianola Little League Registration is Open!

Indianola Little League 2020 Spring Season will run from April 6th to mid-June.

Tee-Wee for boys and girls who are league ages 4-6 (born after 9/1/13)
Coach Pitch/ Pee-Wee for boys and girls league age 7-8 years old (9/1/11 - 8/31/13)
Baseball Minors for boys and girls league age 9-10 years old (9/1/09 - 8/31/11)
Baseball Intermediate for boys and girls league age 11-13 years old (9/1/06 - 8/31/09)
Baseball Seniors for boys and girls league age 14-16 years old (9/1/03 - 8/31/06 or in 8th grade)

If you would like your child to be moved up in an age group, please contact us at [email protected]. Please note there are some restrictions in place by Little League International that we must abide by (no playing up or down in Intermediate League, etc.)

Exact dates for try outs, etc. will be released shortly, we are still working on scheduling a few things.
One thing to note is that Minor League teams will now be re-drafted each season, so all players that will be in the Minor League will now be required for tryouts so coaches can evaluate. Intermediate and Senior Leagues will continue as they have in the past.

*****Candy Bar Fundraiser****
You will notice a $60 candy bar fundraiser box/charge when registering on the website. We have partnered with World’s Finest Chocolate for a fundraiser, this will allow us to catch up on some needed equipment and facility updates, as well as to continue to not have to have teams provide volunteers for the concession stand duty. Each FAMILY will be charged $60, and in return will receive a case of 60 candy bars. This is being paid up front at registration, so the candy bars will be yours, you can then sell them for $1.00 a piece to recoup your money. Several other leagues are doing this and have done this and it has been successful, many parents will probably remember doing similar things when they were children. Please note it is not per child, but per family, but you are certainly welcome to get additional bars to sell if you would like.

[06/27/19]   MESSAGE FROM USSSA BASEBALL

As everyone should already know there is a shortage of umpires Nationally. This includes Iowa.
This weekend we are covering 73 fields for AA State. As of today, Friday games we are 25 umpires short from filling all of our spots.
We have no choice but to go one man crew unless we get some help with umpires.
This is for Friday only.
If you are an umpire, or know someone who can umpire Friday, please contact Greg Davis at [email protected]
We can use people to volunteer on the bases but really would like people that can do the plate and have their own gear.
This is a dire situation for Friday June 28th

[06/26/19]   A great night for our teams in district play! The 10 year olds beat Carlisle 8-6 and 9 year olds beat Fort Des Moines 14-13. And the Intermediates advance to Friday's winner take all final with a 20-17 win over Beaverdale, with Tyler Hogard leading the way with 2 home runs out of the park!
