We are incredibly proud of Aaron for earning 1st place in the 2026 Summer Buckle Series!

This buckle represents more than one event. It reflects the hours spent practicing, learning patterns, building confidence, improving communication with the horse, making corrections, and continuing to show up.

At KCD Farms, that’s what we want for every rider. We’re not just teaching someone how to ride — we’re helping build confidence, horsemanship, responsibility, timing, control, and the skills needed to reach their goals.

Watching Aaron grow as a rider and seeing that hard work turn into a championship buckle makes the long lessons and practice days worth it. 🤎 We’re proud that KCD Farms got to be part of his journey and excited to see what comes next.

🍂🐴 Fall Riding Lessons Are Open at KCD Farms! 🐴🍂

Cooler weather is finally here, making fall one of the best times of year to get outside, build confidence, and spend time in the saddle.

At KCD Farms in Ira, TX, we welcome kids, teens, adults, beginners, returning riders, and individuals with disabilities or additional support needs. Lessons can be adapted to support different abilities, comfort levels, and goals.

Whether the goal is to:

learn to ride for the first time
build confidence around horses
improve balance, coordination, and body awareness
develop horsemanship skills
return to riding after time away
simply enjoy a positive and supportive experience with horses

…we’d love to help each rider grow at their own pace.

Our program focuses on confidence, independence, communication, responsibility, and connection with the horse in a supportive western environment.

🤠 Back-to-School Horse Camp Update 🤠

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Back-to-School Horse Camp scheduled for July 25th.

With the recent heavy rains, our farm and riding areas have become too wet for us to safely host camp. The safety of our campers, horses, and staff is always our top priority, and we don’t want to compromise the experience by trying to hold camp under these conditions.

We know many of you were looking forward to spending the day with us, and we’re just as disappointed.

🐴 If your child was looking forward to camp, we’d still love to help them spend time in the saddle! We are currently booking private horseback riding lessons for riders of all experience levels. Private lessons provide one-on-one instruction and are a great way to build confidence, improve riding skills, and enjoy quality time with our horses.
