Grant DuPree represented DFHS well at the Southeast Senior Showcase today, where he had the opportunity to compete against many of the Southeast's best players. Grant finished with 2 assists, 7 ground balls, and a takeaway. This was his final appearance representing Dutch Fork. The black team won the game after having it in hand for most of the contest. This puts a wrap on competition for the Foxes' season. The team will celebrate the '24 campaign tomorrow night at the annual banquet.

Ben Studley and Grant DuPree played their last game as teammates Saturday. They were on the winning side of the SC North/South all-star game at Socastee, as the South (lower state) won the contest 11-10 in an overtime thriller. Grant had a goal and a half-dozen ground balls, while Ben made some nice saves including an on-crease stuff that wound up a difference maker.

Grant and Ben have been playing lacrosse together for nearly 8 years, beginning with ICRC and Victory Lacrosse before their time at Dutch Fork. Both boys were JV starters and contributors as 7th graders as well as varsity starters as freshmen. Ben is Dutch Fork's career save leader and holds the school record for save percentage in a game. Grant set school records for career goals (tied), assists, points, and ground balls as well as points in a season and points in a game. Both boys have contributed to the Foxes tremendously during their time at Dutch Fork, and they will be missed. Congrats Boys!

Grant has one more opportunity to represent DFHS when he takes part in the Southeast Senior showcase in Matthews, NC, next weekend. The showcase will feature a lot of top players from the Carolinas, Georgia, and ajoining states.

Ben Studley and Grant DuPree at the SCHSL Coaching Association All-Star dinner. They will play in the North/South game tomorrow at Socastee High School at 1:00.

Cade Hunt missed making the season top 5 for Takeaways by one with 21. Strong season on defense for the freshman. Too bad big bro took one more away from the opponent than Cade. As a team the Foxes had over 190 takeaways which is the best for any DFLax squad.
